Social Engineering
Social Engineering is when a person manipulates or tricks someone into revealing sensitive information or performing an action they wouldn’t normally do. It’s like when a bad person pretends to be someone else to get you to trust them and share something private with them.
In terms of computer security, Social Engineering is a way that hackers can get around your passwords and other security measures. They might call you and pretend to be from your bank, asking for your account information. Or they might send you an email that looks like it’s from someone you know and trust, but it’s actually a trick to get you to click on a link that installs a virus on your computer.
So, it’s important to always be careful and think twice before giving out personal information or clicking on links from unknown sources. If you’re not sure if something is real, it’s best to double-check with the person or organization directly.
