Phishing

Phishing is an online scam that tries to trick people into giving away their personal information, like passwords or credit card numbers. It usually happens through fake emails or websites that look like real ones.

The attackers send an email or create a website that looks like it’s from a trustworthy source, like a bank or online store. They will usually ask you to click a link, log in, or give your personal information in some way.

If you fall for the scam, the attackers can get access to your passwords, bank accounts, and other sensitive information. They can use this information to steal your identity, make fraudulent purchases, or do other things that could harm you.

To protect yourself from phishing, make sure to be careful when you receive emails or visit websites that ask for personal information. Always double-check the URL in your browser to make sure you’re on a legitimate site. Don’t click on links from unfamiliar sources, and never give out your personal information unless you’re completely sure it’s safe to do so.
