Man-in-the-Middle Attack (MITM)

A Man-in-the-Middle Attack (MITM) happens when a bad guy gets between two people who are trying to talk to each other on the internet. It’s like if you were trying to tell your friend a secret, but someone stood in the middle and listened to everything you said.

The bad guy can see all the information you’re sending, like your password or credit card number, and they can even change the information without you knowing. This is really bad because they can trick you into giving them your personal information or even steal your money.

To protect yourself from a MITM attack, always make sure you’re using a secure internet connection, like a password-protected Wi-Fi network. And when you’re visiting websites or logging into accounts, make sure the address starts with “https” instead of just “http.” This means the website is using encryption to keep your information safe.
