Fake Access Point Attack
A Fake Access Point Attack is when someone tricks your computer or phone into thinking that it is connected to a safe and trustworthy WiFi network, but it’s actually a fake network set up by a hacker.
This can be really dangerous because the hacker can then see all of your internet activity, like your passwords, messages, and credit card information. They can even inject viruses onto your device or steal important information.
To stay safe, always make sure you’re connecting to a network that you know and trust. If you’re in a public place with lots of WiFi networks, check with someone who works there to make sure you’re connecting to the right one. And most importantly, always use a strong password and keep your software up to date to avoid falling victim to these types of attacks.
