Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS)-as-a-Service

Distributed denial of service (DDoS) is a type of cyber attack that tries to make a website or service stop working. It works by using many computers to send a lot of internet traffic to the website or service all at once, which can overload it and make it stop working for everyone.

DDoS-as-a-Service is when someone offers to do a DDoS attack for you, in exchange for money. These people are sometimes called “DDoS-for-hire” services. They have lots of computers that they use for these attacks, so they can generate a lot of traffic and make it seem like the attack is coming from lots of different places.

This can be a big problem because it makes it easier for people to carry out these types of attacks, even if they don’t know much about computers themselves. It can also be difficult for authorities to track down the people responsible for these attacks, because they might be using computers from all over the world.
