DNS Leak

A DNS leak can occur when you’re using the internet and your computer accidentally sends your internet service provider (ISP) your internet history instead of hiding it. This can happen because the DNS server that your computer is using to look up website addresses is not secure or has been misconfigured.

Think of a DNS leak like when you tell your friend a secret and then your friend accidentally tells someone else. That person wasn’t supposed to know your secret and now they do. It’s the same with a DNS leak – your internet history wasn’t supposed to be shared with your ISP, but it accidentally was.

This can be a problem because your internet history might contain sensitive or personal information that you don’t want to share with anyone else. So it’s important to make sure that your DNS server is secure and configured correctly to prevent a DNS leak from happening.
