Chosen Plaintext Attack
A chosen plaintext attack is when a bad person is trying to break something called encryption. Encryption is like putting a secret code on some information so that only the people who have the key can read it. In a chosen plaintext attack, the bad person is able to choose what information they want to encrypt and then see what the encrypted version looks like. They might do this a lot of times with different information to try and find clues about how the encryption works. Once they know how it works, it becomes easier for them to break it and be able to read the encrypted information without the key. It’s like if someone was trying to guess your password by guessing a lot of different words and seeing which ones work. That’s why it’s important to have strong encryption that can’t be broken easily, because otherwise our private information might not be so private anymore.
